The fellowship provides a unique opportunity to work at the new National Cancer Audit Collaborating Centre (NATCAN) at the Clinical Effectiveness Unit (CEU) of the Royal College of Surgeons of England. You will work in a vibrant audit and research environment, putting you at the heart of a national team that plays a key role in improving the care that patients with bowel cancer receive in England and Wales. It will provide you with the opportunity to contribute to high-profile peer-reviewed papers, which could lead to obtaining a PhD.
You will be working in partnership with senior clinicians, representing the surgical and oncological clinical communities in England and Wales, and senior statisticians and methodologists based at LSHTM.
The post-holder is expected to lead on the writing of journal articles and conference presentations and work towards either an MD or PhD with the support of senior colleagues at the CEU.
